Introduction
I think I should introduce myself. I am your mother. My name is Jackie. I was born on September 28th, 1979 at 12:29am, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond. My parents are Richard and Katherine Hatch, who you will come to know as Nana and Pa Hatch. Your dad, Michael Bryant Sawyer, who we will talk about later, is working on a family tree for you and your sister, Ruby.
Being born on Sept 28th, I am a Libra, which you might be.. if you're born a little late. Libras are passionate and will do anything to keep balance and avoid conflict. We are also procrastinators, impulsive, and very indecisive. BUT... what would the world be without us? We are the artists, the creators, the actors and storytellers. As my child, you will be painted and photographed until you are quite the ham.. but I hope to nurture in you a world of imagination and creativity, resourcefulness and wit, as well as charm.
I have one brother, your Uncle Cliff. He is in the Air Force and is married to your Aunt Candy. You will love them! They are wonderful. Every time we go to their house, they have a new pet. Once it was a duck. Last time, it was a pig!
We live in Chester, Virginia, where your daddy grew up as a child.
I am a nurse, and I work part time, 3 days a week as a telephone triage/advice nurse. I give advice and reassurance to women when they call to ask questions and get medications.
Our pet dog, Spiegel is a Bernese Mountain Dog called an Entlebucher. He has adjusted to Ruby beautifully and although your arrival will mean more adjustments for him, he is already excited about all the snacks you'll give him when you get bigger!
Your dad and I met on Belle Island in Richmond in 2003, and we got married on October 29th, 2005. In 2007, your sister, Ruby Marie Sawyer was born. Right now, she is 19 months old, and although we have told her you are coming, she doesn't really understand yet.
I get my first chance to see you in 2 weeks when we have our first ultrasound. I am so excited!!
What else would you like to know about me? I have brown hair and hazel eyes. My favorite food is Baked Ziti, which is a kind of pasta. My favorite song is Blackbird, by the Beatles. I read a lot of history books, love Sudoku puzzles, and laugh really loud at "The Family Guy" on tv.

More HCG
Well.. this is the last pregnancy test I will take for this pregnancy. I will not disclose how many I had taken before I got a positive!But the line is darker, which means there is more of the HCG hormone in my system. This means that you are thriving, and that you are alive. Nothing makes me happier!

Well.. according to the Chinese Gender chart, you will be a boy. We shall see how accurate that is.

I wonder whether you are a William/Harry or a Charlotte/Lucy? You know,and God knows..and so far that's it!
Ruby wants a girl, I think.. since she wants somebody to play dollies with and go to ballet with and have tea parties with. She's a very girly girl.
Dad, I'm sure, is perfectly content with any and everything you will someday be. He's cool like that.
Spiegel wants you to be a dog, so this is probably the least likely outcome. If you can't be a dog, he'll probably want you to be a boy, so you can take him on hikes and play ball with him and sneak him food under the table.

Pregnancy
Dear Harold William Sawyer or Charlotte Lucille Sawyer,
Dear Harry or Lucy,
Well.. If you are due to the due date Daddy has calculated, it's gonna throw off all my planning!
Dad says you were conceived Christmas Eve- December 24th, 2008. This would make you due to arrive Sept 17th, which makes you a VIRGO.
Also, this would make me 4 wks and 5 days pregnant.. which actually makes more sense, because I was having some nausea pretty early and now I'm having some fairly intense soreness from the breasts that will someday feed you.
Either way, my little Virgo or Libra, my thoughts are all about you right now. No one knows our secret.. that you are on the way- a prayer answered from God, for which we are so grateful.

Hi Baby!
The line is very very faint, but it is there. YOU are there.Well, little one.. right now, you are smaller than a poppy seed. We are keeping you a secret for right now. The only ones that know that your Mom is pregnant with are are you, your Dad, Spiegel, and Ruby.
You are due to arrive in the world somewhere between September 22-24th, 2009, which will make you a Libra, like me.
We just got our BFP (Big Fat Positive) on the pregnancy test yesterday.. and your daddy is SO glad that Mommy won't keep going out and buying more pregnancy tests. I took 3 tests that were negative and then yesterday you finally showed you were there with 2 lines!
I am so glad that God has blessed us again and can't wait to meet you. I pray to God you and I will be blessed with a happy and healthy 9 months, and then lifetime together.
