Sweet, precious, beloved baby Charlotte!
You are at a developmental stage that leaves you completely frustrated with the world 50% of the time. You can walk, but you trip and fall with almost every good start. The dog knocks you over. Ruby hugs you from behind and knocks you off your balance. You want to sit on the couch like everybody else but your little legs are just too short to get up there by yourself. You try to use a stool and it either slips out from under you, or you get confused, start climbing back down, lose your balance and end up with a sore, sweet baby noggin.
Add to that your vocabulary is just beginning to emerge, so you can't ask for help and I just had a baby, so I can't pick you up as much as I'd like to.
sigh.
BUT you are handling it in your stride, one sock wonder. You can now climb both up the stairs (fairly well) and DOWN! (with some guidance and someone there to redirect or catch you if you get confused,or fall). Your appetite has slowed down but you still love your snacks, often pointing to the bananas while on the hunt for something else.
Your baby brother is finally here, that is the big news and I have my fears that you will feel the effect of being the middle child. The way I hope things work out is that you and Henry will be infinitely close because you are so close together. Besides, a baby brother is another person to chase, to love. You will always be my baby, sweet, sweet sweet baby girl. You are very much like me and I am impressed by how well you are taking to Henry already. You don't seem all that interested or upset that he's taking time away from you, as long as you have grandma or grandpa or daddy or me to talk to. And now, you have the poor cat to terroroze. You LOOOOVE Molly the cat. Let me clarify right here that she does not feel the same way, but you enjoy the chase.
Your favorite toy is your Little Tykes Cozy Coupe car, but you often fall right through the middle trying to get inside of it. In it, and out of it. In it, and out of it. That's all you do is get in it and sit there, opening and closing the door until either Ruby comes along to push you or you fall through the middle.
You have some new phrases. You still like s words and you are so cute when you point to yourself and say "SIT".
We're having a time with you and your poor little ears and your runny little nose. You cough all night long, so we are making yet another trip to see the doctor this afternoon.
Love, Mama
