Dear Charlotte,
Little Wonderbug.. you love reading books, especially when you , Ruby, and I all read them together. You like anything you can touch with your fingers. Last night you really liked "Here come the Puppies" because it is a tactile book with soft fur, leathery puppy noses and rubbery red balls that you can rub and feel.
You are really getting the hang on grabbing and curling your teeny tiny fingers over book corners, toys, and even my hair! The battle of sharing toys is beginning, as I noticed even with 50 other toys in the room, Ruby wanted the one little people toy that YOU were holding.
I can't wait to start reading all of my favorite books to you, and you, my love, are a wonderful listener. I hope you will grow up to love books just like the rest of your bookworm family :)

A Playground for Katie at Huguenot Park
What a great time we had at Katie's playground. I took pictures and then the camera died- the real fun started after that. Lots of kids came and you, Miss Charlotte slept while Ruby played "dinosaur games" with the mass of other kids.

New Second Cousin!
You, sweet baby.. are no longer the youngest in the family! You have a new baby second cousin. Blake Robert Dose. Born 2/15/10 at 5:15 pm. 10 lbs, 9.5 oz, 22 1/2 inches long!! He certainly is a big boy! Hopefully someday we will be able to meet him! His dad, Jeremy Dose is my (your mom's) cousin.
Ok here's where it gets complicated. Your Grandpa Rick Hatch had a sister named Karen. She married Bob and they had 4 children- Brian, Ricky, Jeremy, and Holly. Blake Robert is the first child of Jeremy and his wife Michelle. Brian and his wife Ami have 2 kids- Grace and Grant, and Holly and her husband Cody Chapman have a baby girl just a little older than you. Her name is Lydia Karen.

Well any outfit is fair game at this point for drool. You have become a master of reaching for and grasping objects over your head and have begun to screech and blow raspberries with your lips. Keeping your drooley face dry is a full time job, but you sure are cute!
You are also in the stage of the demand cry, where you don't understand I'm still there if you can't see me. If I am in your line of vision, you are happy. The second I walk away, your bottom lip pouts and you cry.

Happy 5 Month Birthday Charlotte!!!
Dear Baby Charlotte,
You are 5 Months Old Today! What a wonder you are! You are reaching and grasping your toys with your hands, constantly grawing at anything within reach of your favorite hangouts, your jumperoo, your walker or your bumbo chair. You eat solids twice a day, once a day with a vegetable. You love people being right up in your face and let out a hearty giggle if the mood hits you right. You are a wonderful, laughing and wonderfully predictable baby which makes you just a joy to be around.
