Char the Star
Charlotte had been watching me put on my mascara. She walked away and I finished my makeup. Two minutes later, I found my little starlet, still clutching her marker. She had tried to do her own eye makeup too. Thank You, Crayola for making your markers easy to clean up

Ann Cornett Keep her away from sharpies. Lizzie tagged 3 doors and 2 pieces of furniture with one. Eric had to repaint an entire doors and clean the furniture. Oh and she ruined one of her dresses.

Last Breaths of Summer
Dear Sweet Charlotte,
You are almost two years old. We are planning an Elmo party for your birthday because you are just obsessed with the poor creature. I made a kids songs CD to play in the car and from the minute you get in, you scream "ELMO!" for the one song you love, "Happy Tapping With Elmo". We play it over and over and you rock back and forth and dance with a great big grin on your face until Ruby and I can take Elmo's Happy Tapping no more.. and must either turn it to the regular radio or at least hear another song. But then you just scream for more Elmo. Alas. They say you can't help who you love.
You start preschool this year, at least, that is the plan. I cannot in my head conceive of how it will work having 12 of you in a room for 4 hours, nobody potty trained and few of you being able to listen or follow directions well, or at all. We shall see. You usually surprise me, one way or another.
