Most nights, you stand at the top of the stairs while I follow Henry up and you spread your feet, and say with a grin " wassa passwad mommy?" The password is always Chipmunk, but I give you a few tries until we get up to say the right one. Usually you beat me to it and say " no, mommy. Chukmuk !"

You have discovered your girlie side, and are experimenting w/ dress up and being a " ba- rina".

Simba gets clean

You got very upset when we had to wash your lion kings, but it was necessary.

I tried to sneak them away at bedtime but you sleep with them, so we quickly washed and dried them at dinnertime.

Now they are safely back in your sweet little hands.

Lion king entourage

You and Ruby each got stuffed Lion King animals for Christmas. You took matters into your own hands though, because now, all four lions go with you everywhere. To daycare, to church, to bed each night... No one gets any rest until all four "all my friends, lion king" are in your bed.

Speech

I love how you talk. It is so sweet. You say " Yi Keen" which is Lion King. You say " yub you too momma", without question. You call Henry " Howee"

Amazingly, you not only know all of your colors but you also know them in sign language!!! You also know your shapes and can name several presidential portraits!!

I give up. I can't compete with pure genius. ;)

Bad momma moment

Ohhhhh. Ok. As MUCH as I love you, I feel like I failed you yesterday.

You had your easter egg hunt at school. I was at work, so I could not be there but here is the problem. Apparently, when grandma went to pick you up, you and Ruby were the only ones still sitting there.

I was the only mom who didnt make it to your party.

My heart was so heavy when grabdma told me that. I started second guessing myself. But then I realized that these things happen. The important thing is that you know that you are SO loved. I made a special effort to make sure you knew that last night.

I won't miss the next one, work or no work. Seeing your empty bunny ear hat that you wore on your egg hunt that I MISSED hurts too much for me to EVER forget something so very important and irretrieveable.

Time is so precious and they all count. You are very easy going and did not seem bothered in any way, but it sure made an impact on me.
